Can Doris handle different ways of booking?
Yes. Doris runs rooms three ways: tidy slots for clinics and appointments, block bookings for halls and clubs, and shared desks for hubs. The 'How I work' page walks through all three.
Is Doris a public booking page like Calendly?
No. Doris is for closed memberships - invite-only via Clerk. There's no public link, no marketing your venue, no chasing strangers for credit cards. Doris is for the people you already know.
Does Doris handle payments?
No, and that's intentional. Doris manages the booking - how you take payment is entirely up to you. No transaction fees, no third party in your payment flow.
Can admins approve bookings before they're confirmed?
Yes. Mark any room as requiring approval. The slot holds as pending until the admin approves or rejects.
Do my team need to download an app?
No App Store needed. Doris installs from the browser - one tap, and it sits on the home screen like a native app.
How does the free trial work?
Up to 28 days free, no card. You get 14 days to start, plus a week when you finish setup and another week once you've added five members. By the time it ends, Doris will already be indispensable.
What happens if I cancel?
Read-only mode. Your data and history stay, no new bookings can be made, come back anytime.
Is my data safe?
Doris stores bookings, not client data. We don't sell or share what you put in. Hosted on Cloudflare. GDPR-compliant. DPA available.
Does Doris use AI?
Yes, but probably not the way you're imagining.
There's no AI in the part that books your room. That's plain, predictable software: you tap through and it does exactly what you asked, the same way every time. We looked hard at putting AI inside Doris, and decided a handful of clicks was the better experience.
Where AI helps is at the edges, and it's your assistant, not one baked into Doris. Doris publishes what it knows (your bookings, your utilisation, your statements) so an assistant you already use can take the admin off your hands. It can even prepare the paperwork, drafting your statements and suggesting which payment settles which invoice. But Doris never touches the money, and it works in pencil: the steps that count, like marking an invoice paid, always wait for you to approve.
So: AI-free where it needs to be reliable, AI-ready where it saves you an evening.
